The library follows at a regional level the 3 goals articulated by the National Library of Medicine's Strategic Plan:
1) enable evidence-based health care by providing the tools for data-driven decision-making
2) Reach more physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, and administrative leaders in effective ways through enhanced dissemination and engagement pathways
3) Contribute to building a workforce knowledgeable in data-driven research and health care
The library recognizes a responsibility to serve area medical and mental health professionals and community members, and offers health information and research support by request from these groups, who can reach us through our public webpage.
